Who we are...

Sponsored by Marine Corps League Detachment #1155, we are Brentwood's longest running Cub Scout pack still in existence (formerly Pack 93).  Although most boys in the pack attend Ron Nunn and Loma Vista Elementary Schools, we welcome boys from any area school and faith.

What we do...

Along with two to three den meetings per month (made up of 6 - 10 boys), the pack (made up of several dens) meets the first Tuesday evening of every month during the school year at Vets Hall in Brentwood.  Other activities are scheduled throughout the year, such as a Pinewood Derby, and an overnite stay at places like the USS Hornet or Chabot Space Center.  Because Cub Scouts is a year-round program, optional outdoor summertime activities usually include things like Twilight (day) Camp, bike rodeo, family camping, hiking and Scout Days at the ballpark, plus much more!

Why Cub Scouts?

For over 100 years, Boy Scouts of America has been a foundation of development for millions of boys, helping them become men of strong values and character.  The cornerstone of that foundation is Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first through fifth grade (or ages 7, 8, 9, and 10). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting, which are:

Character Connections

Character Development
Spiritual Growth
Good Citizenship
Sportsmanship and Fitness
Family Understanding
Respectful Relationships
Personal Achievement
Friendly Service
Fun and Adventure
Preparation for Boy Scouts

Pinewood Derby Is Coming!!!

Posted on Dec 14 2014 - 11:07pm

The annual Pack 1155 Pinewood Derby is coming to Brentwood Veterans Hall on Sunday January 25th. We are going to run  the races like last year which will be done by Rank. This means the Tigers will race against the Tiger and the Wolves against the Wolves. Each Rank will have a 1st, 2nd, 3rd  place winner and the top three from each Rank will compete at the end for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place for the Pack. We are working to set up times for each Rank to race so if you would like to come for the whole day and see the competition you are welcome to do so. If you would like to come during your Ranks's time slot to race that will work also. It will be very important to be on time to the race time. If you are not there when your Rank races your car will be marked last place and will affect your overall standing. The races will begin at 1:30pm sharp on the 25th with the Webelos II and then move down in the Ranks. The weigh-in for the Pinewood Derby cars will be the morning of January 25th from 8am to 12pm at the Veterans Hall. We do ask that each Scout who is participating in the Derby and checking in a car to race be present for the weigh-in. We understand that there might be sports and other activities that morning so please make arrangements to stop by anytime during the 4 hours with your Scout, to have your Scout present and weigh his car in. We will have food and snacks and as always a terrific and fun-filled event. The updated rules for the 2015 Pinewood Derby Race are below for Download. If you have any questions please email pinewoodderby@pack1155.org
